TO ORDER AN “ENGINEERED PLACEMENT PRINT”

large format pattern printing for apparel production

DESIGN THE GARMENT

Use FABRIC’s Apparel Entrepreneur Roadmap to get your design ready for printing and manufacturing. You'll end up with...

  • A graded digital pattern that was created in a CAD system like Gerber/Lectra.

  • A tech pack that contains flats, specs, sewing operations and seam types, size information, BOM.

  • A digital sample (3D avatar) or a physical sew-by sample made from the final material that you’ll be using for printing production.

DESIGN THE PRINT

  • Create it yourself

  • Or hire FABRIC’s Textile Designer (Select Textile Print Design under Services in your FABRIC Membership Dashboard)

    • You can also hire FABRIC to show you what the print will look like using a 3D software that virtually stitches up your pattern. We can place your print onto the virtually sewn garment on a 3D avatar so you can make adjustments before the final print is created.

SOURCE MATERIAL

Source your printable fabric

  • Check out the list of approved fabrics (coming soon)

  • Or use our in-stock Dintex fabric!

  • Or source your own fabrics.

    • Use FABRIC’s free sourcing library to source anything. (Select Sourcing Library under Spaces in your FABRIC Membership Dashboard).

SHIP MATERIAL TO THE FABRIC

Send to:

FABRIC

Attn: (whoever you’ve been working with on print design)

117 E. 5th St., Suite 101

Tempe, AZ 85281

*Make sure your company name and/or your name is included on the roll somewhere or FABRIC will not know it is your fabric. You might ask the fabric supplier to include this info. Or you could have the fabric sent to you first and then attach a Drop Off form to the fabric before delivering it yourself (recommended method so you can QC and verify you got what you asked for and it isn't damaged). FABRIC is not responsible for lost fabrics that are not labeled properly with your information.

SUBMIT THE PRINT MARKER

Email your print file (pdf) that is less than the width of your fabric that contains all of your pattern pieces with the prints embedded into them. This is like a traditional marker but with prints in the pattern pieces. Remember fabric has an un-usable selvage edge that varies but is usually around ½” on each side so leaving 1” on each side is the rule of thumb. If you have a one-way fabric like velvet, make sure to indicate this and other important info you want to communicate.

SUBMIT A PRINT REQUEST

Send a Print Request to info@fabricincubator.com  for a price estimate.  Once the estimate is confirmed and the payment is received, your print job will be completed.
